RBM have developed a competition to get CQ Schools Staff, Students and Communities working together. This is a competition designed to be run through the schools, to encourage creativity and togetherness. We hope that you and your school are interested in participating.
Over 4 weeks, there are 4 themes. You can start submitting your entries through the link below at any time for each theme.
On the week of the Theme, the team at RBM will post all entries onto the Facebook page and Website for you to view. We would like to encourage friends, family and the community to like, share and comment on their favourite image to grow community spirit.
There will be a winning school awarded each week. And the winning school will receive 2 Canon Digital Cameras. It is at the schools discretion to utilize the Camera for School use or award one to the student who submitted the image.
Terms and conditions
For 4 weeks, RBM will allocate a theme for students to create a photo for submission.

- Week One: Illuminated
- Week Two: Creatures
- Week Three: Motion
- Week Four: Urban Life
- Images are not to contain any faces, or offensive depictions
- Images of Adults need to have approval prior to submission
- Images are to be in Facebook accepted format: .jpg, .gif, and .png file types
- Submissions are to be given to the school and submitted here
- Submissions will be posted on RBM’s Facebook and Instagram feed so the community then has the chance to like or love any photo they appreciate
- All photos must be loaded by Friday Midday for selection by the panel
- RBM will then announce the winners by Saturday of each week
- Each week there will be a winner of 2 Canon digital Camera

Judging Criteria
- Is the theme the focus of the image
- Is the composition of the image of quality
- Is the subject in high definition
- Is the lighting of the image of quality
- Is the image clear and in focus
- What is the impact of the image?
- Does the composition, focus, focal length, tone and light of the image draw you to theme
Themes
Week one: Illuminated
Illuminated Images are much more than sunsets and sunrises, Light can be Refracted off other images, Fractured between objects, Reflected off Objects. Light can Create Spectrums or Rainbows, illuminating colours that you hadn’t seen in the moment before. Capture an image that has intriguing composition and is brought to life with illumination.
Week two: Creatures
Creatures great and small bring joy to our lives. With all of the animals that surround you, capture an image the shows how an animals amazes and delights your life. We want to see different and strange as well and the cute and cuddly.
Week Three: Motion
Movement had a really interest impact last year, we are excited to see what you might come up with this year. We want to see images capturing actions, processes, changing objects or anything that your imagination can consider. Be Creative and get inspired by the things that you do or that is happening in your environment around you.
Week Four: Urban Life
While Vista’s have been a large part of the competition in the past years, we thought we would task you all with a different take on this theme. Urban Life are depictions of the architecture, graffiti, flora or anything that you find unique about your home town. We love Central Queensland and we want to see what makes your little neck of the woods so fabulous.
